SKIN IN THE GAME

The sun doesn’t care if you are a two-time major champion or a weekend hacker. The damage it can do to anyone’s unprotected skin on and off the golf course can be harmful and potentially deadly if not treated properly. Team Troon member Justin Thomas knows that better than most. A visit to the dermatologist in 2019 revealed a small mole on his leg that turned out to be in the early stages of melanoma. Catching it at that point was key to his continued good health. “Knowing how close I was to a life-threatening situation was a real wake-up call for me,” said Thomas, winner of the 2017 and 2022 PGA Championship. “That’s why I decided to launch WearSPF, spread my message on a bottle to wear sunscreen, and encourage everyone to GO GET CHECKED. Do it for yourself and the ones you love. You’ve got nothing to lose, and possibly everything to gain.” The WearSPF product line includes a spray, sport stick, lotion, lip balm, and an after-sun cleanser. A portion of proceeds from every sale of WearSPF goes directly to the Justin Thomas Foundation for children in need, junior golf, and military families, with the intent of helping all achieve their full potential.
